| My name is Jill (Avis) Phillips and I have been judging horse shows since 1982. I am currently an approved judge for the American Buckskin Horse Associates (ABRA), Pony of American (POA) in Michigan and Indiana, and Ohio 4-H. I judge approximately 15 shows a year. Over the years, I have judged in 6 states for Breed Shows, State Horse Shows, County Fairs, Circuit Shows, and 4-H Shows. I grew up through the 4-H program. I have managed and owned my own boarding and training barn for 20 years. I have worked with youth, novice and amateur in 4-H and Breed Circuits. I have also been a 4-H Leader and Coach and on 4-H Judging Teams, taking teams to National Competitions. I am also an active member of the Michigan Judges Advisory Committee and the Jamboree Committee. I currently reside in Cassopolis, MI and run a lesson and training program at Willowbrook Equestrian Center. When time permits, I compete in the American Ranch Horse Association in a number of events.
